Since arriving in the UK, Roger has worked tirelessly in the public, private, and voluntary sectors on various refugee integration projects. Through his work, he has developed a deep appreciation for the significant potential that refugees and other migrants possess, and he is committed to promoting this potential in all of his daily and volunteer activities.

Meet Yasir, our volunteer manager, who has been a part of our team for the past five years. He first came to us as a 28-day project client, but with his dedication and hard work, he quickly rose through the ranks to become a board member, adviser, and eventually our esteemed Volunteer Service Manager.
Yasir's journey with RETAS has been nothing short of remarkable. His experiences with our organization not only helped him settle and graduate from university, but also enabled him to integrate seamlessly into UK society. Through his involvement with RETAS, he learned the value of giving back to the community, which is what drives his work as a Volunteer Service Manager.
In his role, Yasir takes care of a variety of responsibilities, training volunteers, monitoring volunteers, and assisting clients with service provisions. His commitment to our cause and his exceptional work ethic make him an invaluable member of our team.

Meet Leila, the esteemed Curriculum Manager of RETAS ACL provision. She came highly recommended by a former colleague to join the team. Her vital role involves interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and most importantly, cultivating optimism in those who may be experiencing difficulties in their lives. Laila is passionately dedicated to motivating and assisting refugees and asylum seekers to feel empowered and make the most of the resources available to them. Additionally, she creates a safe and inclusive environment where vulnerable individuals can learn and socialize in a comfortable setting. It is worth noting that Laila teaches English language classes to learners of varying levels during both morning and afternoon sessions.
